Providence College announced the election of five new members to its Board of Trustees.

Tom Corcoran, ’80, was the head of the GE Capital Interest Rate Management (IRM) team, helping borrowers hedge rate risk associated with debt financing transactions originated by GE Capital. Prior to joining GE, he was the Managing Director, Head of FX and Interest Rate Management marketing at Fleet Boston, where he led the interest rate and foreign currency hedging business for the Global Markets group. He has twenty-two years experience in treasury and capital markets at BankBoston and Fleet Bank.  Tom received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from PC.  

 

 

Stephen Gallucci, ’89, ’26P, is the Global and US leader for the CFO Program. Steve helps CFOs manage the complexities of their roles, tackle compelling challenges, and adapt to strategic shifts in the market.  His 30 years of experience at Deloitte includes advising their largest and most complex clients in the Consumer and Industrial Products, Media, and Private Equity sectors. Prior to his current role, he served as the New York Marketplace Managing Parter. Stephen received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from PC and an MBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame.  

 

 

Father Jordan Schmidt, O.P., is originally from Bismarck, ND. He attended St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN and subsequently served as a Peace Corps volunteer in southern China.  Upon his return to the U.S., Fr. Schmidt entered the diocesan seminary before discerning a call to the Order of Preachers, which he entered in 2006. After his ordination in 2012, Fr. Jordan was appointed parochial vicar of St Mary’s parish in New Haven, CT and was subsequently reassigned to the Dominican House of Studies to pursue a doctorate in Sacred Scripture at CUA. After graduating in 2018, Fr. Jordan was appointed to the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception as a professor of Sacred Scripture, where he teaches various courses in the Old Testament. Since 2022, Fr. Jordan has also served as the Regent of Studies for the Province of St. Joseph. 

 

 

Jill Shah, ’91, is the president of the Shah Family Foundation, which supports transformative work at the intersection of education, healthcare, and community. The foundation focuses on demonstrating how private and philanthropic funding can be used to test and accelerate innovation in government programs. Before launching the foundation, Jill was an entrepreneur in Boston and New York, involved in launching and managing different internet and software start-ups. She served on the executive team during the turn-around and sale of Mercator Software. Jill is a recent recipient of the Boston Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Bostonian Award, and the Playworks Game Changer Award. She was cited as one of Boston’s 100 most influential Bostonians in Boston Magazine. Jill previously served as a Co-chair of the Massachusetts Commonwealth’s Covid-19 Command Center Food Access Task Force. She currently serves on the boards of the Overseers of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, the Overseers of the Museum of Fine Arts, the Advisory Council of the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream, and the Board of Trustees of the Belmont Hill School.  

 

 

Shannon Sullivan, ’00, has been employed with Care New England in various roles since 2002. She began her career at Women and Infants Hospital as a Clinical Social Worker, eventually working her way up to director of Patient and Family Support Servies, and later as System Director of Care Management. In 2018, Sullivan was appointed Executive Director of Care Coordination and Chief Access Officer, and shortly thereafter, Vice President of Operations at Kent Hospital. Shannon was then named interim COO of Women and Infants Hospital and has served as President and Chief Operating Officer since June 2020.  In early 2020, Shannon oversaw the construction of field hospitals during the Covid-19 pandemic.
