Olivia Newton-John Friday
Four time Grammy winner Olivia Newton-John was one of the biggest stars in the world in the 1970’s. The Australian native’s sugar pop hits like “Please Mr. Please,” and “I Honestly Love You” and ruled the AM airwaves. She’s performing Friday at the Twin River Events Center. Sean Rowe Friday
Singer-Songwriter Sean Rowe returns to the Columbus Theatre in Providence Friday for a show on the heels of his 2017 release New Lore. The album highlights Rowe’s alt-folk style, which can be heard in the song “To Leave Something Behind,” featured in the recent hit movie The Accountant. Catch him tonight at 8PM – Sam Ross opens. Rumjacks at Firehouse 13
The Rumjacks are a folk-punk band from Sydney Australia and tonight (Friday) they hit Firehouse 13 in Providence, RI. Fans of the Dropkick Murphy’s will enjoy their kick ass brand of Celtic inspired rock and roll as they stop by on their first US tour. Openers include Pourmen, the Gobshites, and the Cop Outs. Silks at The Met Friday
Two of the region’s best combine forces Friday night at The Met. Singer-Songwriter Julie Rhodes joins The Silks for an old-fashioned rock and roll show. Rhodes was the 2016 Best New Artist at the Boston Music Awards and The Silks won for Best Blues Act (even though their sound is more southern rock-ish.)
