Governor Gina Raimondo signed a proclamation declaring June “Pride Month” in Rhode Island.

"The Rhode Island LGBTQIA+ community has made countless contributions to our state that we celebrate not only during Pride Month but every day of the year. I stand with the community and support them. This month serves as a reminder that we must always remain dedicated to the cause of equality. The values of tolerance and freedom that our state was founded upon remain as important as ever, and I am committed to ensuring Rhode Island remains a place where people from all walks of life are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve,” said Raimondo.

Raimondo was joined by members of Rhode Island's LGBTQIA+ community while signing the proclamation.
