Dallas Police Chief Brown Says Attacks Were Motivated by Race

Dallas Police Chief David Brown announced that one suspect said that he wanted to hurt white officers, and was upset about the recent police shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, both of whom were black.

Brown also said that the suspect told negotiators he was not affiliated with any group and acted alone.
