GoLocal on WHJJ: The Highest Taxed Communities of 2013

Property taxes continue to rise across Rhode Island, increasing in approximately two thirds of the cities and towns over the last year, according to new state data showing the local rates for fiscal year 2013.

Some of the most dramatic increases are in urban communities facing financial distress. They also happen to be the places where taxpayers can at least afford the hikes.
