Two Women, One Man Shot in Providence Overnight

Multiple people were shot in Providence early Sunday morning in the Elmwood section of the city. 

The shooting comes on the heels of a man being shot outside an Allens Avenue strip club on Friday night.

Latest Incident 

Shortly after 2 AM Sunday morning, police responded to Lenox Avenue for a report of shots fired. 

Police said they encountered two vehicles stopped in the road — and multiple people shot. 

A male victim had gunshot wounds to his stomach. 

Two female victims had gunshot wounds to their legs. 

All three victims — who are in their 20s — were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

Police report finding multiple spent shell casings at the intersection of Lenox Avenue and Emerson Street and a large pool of blood in front of 30 Lenox Avenue.

Detectives are currently investigating.
