NEW: Coronavirus Deaths Remain High at 22, RI Reports 124 New Cases — Watch 1 PM Briefing

The Rhode Island Department of Health reported 22 new coronavirus deaths in the state on Thursday for a total of 677 fatalities. 

There were 124 new positive cases for a total of 14,494.

Last week, Rhode Island experienced one of its deadliest weeks during the coronavirus crisis to date -- read more here. 

Currently, there are 222 hospitalizations, with 53 in the ICU and 35 on ventilators.
