TUESDAY MORNING...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of northern Connecticut, southeastern Massachusetts and
northern Rhode Island, including the following areas, in northern
Connecticut, Hartford CT, Tolland CT and Windham CT. In
southeastern Massachusetts, Eastern Plymouth MA, Northern Bristol
MA and Western Plymouth MA. In northern Rhode Island, Eastern Kent
RI, Northwest Providence RI, Southeast Providence RI and Western
Kent RI.
* From Noon EDT today through Tuesday morning.
* Scattered showers and thunderstorms will overspread the watch area
this afternoon into the evening with the rain coming down heavy at
times. Total rainfall is expected to range from 0.5 to 1.25
inches, with locally higher amounts possible.
* The ground is wet from recent rainfall and the expected heavy
rainfall may cause localized flash flooding especially in urban
and poor drainage areas. Some smaller streams may quickly rise out
of their banks.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
