NEW: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi in Town Monday

On Monday, March 19th, U.S. Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) and special guest House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) will host a roundtable discussion on health and workforce issues facing Rhode Island women.

“Nancy Pelosi made history in 2007 when she became the first woman to serve as Speaker of the House, but she first solidified her status as an expert on women’s issues decades ago,” said Cicilline. “I am honored that she will be joining me in Rhode Island next Monday and discussing our efforts to ensure that Rhode Islanders get back to work as soon as possible.”

Cicilline and Pelosi will be joined by Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI), Rhode Island Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education Deborah Gist, and other leading women’s advocates.
