Two additional individuals, both females, were also injured during the incident. Their injuries were not related to a stabbing and were considered non-life-threatening.
Warren Rescue, with assistance from Barrington Rescue, responded to the scene and transported all four injured individuals to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
A search warrant was later executed at a related residence, where several knives were recovered. Initial investigation indicates that DaSilva and the male victim were known to each other. The incident remains under investigation, and further charges may be considered as the case develops.
Following his release from the hospital, Kyle DaSilva was transported to the Warren Police Department, where he was processed and arraigned on one count of Felony Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Disorderly Conduct. His bail was set at $10,000 with surety, and he was subsequently held at the Adult Correctional Institutions pending a formal arraignment in Newport District Court.
