Teenager Stabbed in Downtown Providence

A teenage woman was stabbed in downtown Providence on Sunday evening.

About Incident

Police were called shortly after 6 PM on Sunday to Kennedy Plaza for a report of a stabbing.

According to police, the victim was a female in her late teens.

The victim told police a man approached her and stabbed her in her side.

Police said they observed a stab wound on the victim.

Rescue transported the victim to Rhode Island Hospital.

Detectives are currently investigating.
