Kent Hospital ER Nurse & Programmer in Informatics Dept., Lynn Acree, RN, Dies
Born in Newport, RI, she was a daughter of the late James R. and Marion (Davies) Acree.
Lynn graduated from Coventry High School in 1973. She went on to earn a Degree from the Newport School of Nursing. Lynn was employed for over 35 years combined as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at Kent Hospital and as a programmer in the Informatics Department at the Hospital. Lynn continued her education to earn a Master’s Degree. She also taught classes in the Nursing curriculum at the Community College of Rhode Island.

She was the sister of Lisa Acree (Timothy Bodick) of Coventry and Diana Beckmann of Georgia. She was the aunt of Jessica Detonnancourt (Matthew Crowley), Brittney McKay (Keith) all of Coventry, Samantha Johnston (Dave), and Ashley Smith (Taylor) all of Georgia. Lynn is also survived by two great-nephews Kaimana and Hunter.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3) in Coventry.
Interment will be private.
