Mary E. (Doran) Norman of Wakefield Dies at 94

Mary E. (Doran) Norman, 94, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was a lifelong resident of Wakefield. She was the wife of the late Ellis Norman Jr. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Doran and Bertha (Monroe) Doran. She was the sister of the late Joseph B. Monroe, Harold “Jim” Doran, and Robert W. Doran. Mary was the beloved grandmother of the late Kimberly A. (Doran) Frisella. She is survived by her sister Marjorie H. Doran of Wakefield. Her beloved children Douglas B. Doran, Lisa A. Doran, and Kevin S. Doran. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mary loved cooking, gardening, puzzles, and animals. Anyone who knew Mary knew she had a heart of gold, and she would do anything for anyone. Her favorite holidays were Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas. She loved long rides through the countryside. And her favorite place to be was in her home surrounded by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, from 11 am-12 pm, with the funeral following at 12 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
