Owner of Sands Electric, Philip Peter Sands, of Warwick, Passes at 79
Born on October 29, 1941, in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Stan and Geraldine (Johnston) Sands.
Phil was employed at Butler Hospital as an electrician for many years until his retirement and he also owned and operated Sands Electric. Phil was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, played baseball, softball and enjoyed golfing.
Besides his loving wife, Bernice, he leaves his loving son and daughter-in-law Mark and Jennifer Sands of Coventry, his daughter Colleen Sands, his three granddaughters Bryanna, Victoria, and Marissa, and his loyal granddog Bogie.
He was the brother of the late Richard Sands Sr.
In accord with Phil’s wishes, his Funeral Services will be private.
Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 are greatly appreciated.
