Power Pack: RI High School Football: October 17th

Cumberland, Shea, and East Greenwich are out of this week's Power Pack after losing last weekend. Mt. Pleasant, Johnston, and North Kingstown are all recent adds to the Top 10. As always, In my power rankings I’ve factored in record, strength of schedule, head to head results, and the overall performance of each team on a week to week basis.
Power Pack: RI High School Football
North Kingstown
Division Record: 3-1 (Division 2-B)
Overall Record: 5-1
The Skippers move into the Top 10 after beating Cumberland 36-14 last Friday. Locked into a 3-way tie with the Clippers and Rogers for 1st place in Division 2-B, NK has the most explosive offense in the division with 124 points scored in 4 league games.
Johnston
Division Record: 3-1 (Division 2-A)
Overall Record: 5-1
Running Back Marc Conte leads Division 2-A's highest scoring offense (114 points) in Johnston. The only team to beat the Panthers thus far was Woonsocket. Johnston beat Toll Gate 35-6 last Friday.
South Kingstown
Division Record: 1-2 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 3-2
South Kingstown has played a tough schedule early and stands at 1-2 in Division 1. They ranked 3rd in these rankings last week but lost 27-16 on Friday at the hands of La Salle. The Rebels also lost to Hendricken but beat a very good Portsmouth team in Division 1 play.
Mt. Pleasant
Division Record: 4-0 (Division 3)
Overall Record: 4-1
Mt. Pleasant is the top team in Division 3 right now and with star Running Back Randolph Zleh leading the way they would be a tough task for may higher Division teams. Mt. Pleasant beat Lincoln 22-12 last Friday and their lone loss was in an injury fund game to Central.
Woonsocket
Division Record: 4-0 (Division 2-A)
Overall Record: 5-1
Woonsocket's lone loss also came in the injury fund game (to Shea) and since then the Novans have dominated Division 2-A. With 73 points scored and a mere 7 points allowed, Woonsocket has been the most impressive team outside of Division 1 so far this year.
La Salle
Division Record: 3-1 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 5-1
La Salle was blown out by Portsmouth early in the season but have since bounced back strong and cemented their place in the Top 5 with their win over South Kingstown on Friday. In 6 total games the Rams are averaging just under 30 points per game.
Cranston East
Division Record: 2-1 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 5-1
Cranston East rolled over East Providence 48-12 last Friday and continue to put up points at an astounding rate (140 in 3 league games, nearly 47 points per game). Quarterback Alex Corvese is the magician that sparks the Thunderbolts' offense.
Portsmouth
Division Record: 3-1 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 4-1
The Patriots beat Tolman last week and rebounded from their first loss of the season at the hands of South Kingstown. Dual threat QB Matt Sewall is the straw that stirs the drink in Portsmouth.
Barrington
Division Record: 3-0 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 6-0
Barrington won a non-league matchup with New Bedford last weekend and continue to show why they're one of the best teams in the state. With 200 points for and only 105 allowed in 6 total games the Eagles are accustomed to blowing out their opponents.
Hendricken
Division Record: 4-0 (Division 1)
Overall Record: 6-0
The Hawks remain on top of my rankings after a 33-10 win over Cranston West last Friday. Running Back Remington Blue is the offensive star for Hendricken but it's the defense that makes the Hawks Rhode Island's top team (31 points allowed in 4 Division 1 games, best in the league).
