The University of Rhode Island men’s club lacrosse team is playing for the MCLA Championship in Round Rock, Texas.

The Rams play the University of Utah in the finals on Saturday.

URI is high-scoring — averaging 15.3 goals per game.

At No. 7, Rhode Island is the lowest seed to reach a D-II MCLA National Championship game.

To get to the Championship, URI survived an overtime scare against No. 10 Utah State in the first round and since then, the Rams have been rolling.

The Rams beat both No. 15 UNC-Charlotte and No. 6 Montana by 15-7.
