Young RI Cancer Patient Gets Birthday Surprise From His Heroes

Hundreds of police officers, firefighters and first responders from New England--and from across the nation-- flocked to Burrillville Thursday to help give a brave 7-year old boy a very special birthday.

Tyler Seddon of Burrillville suffers from leukemia and according to the Facebook page Tyler's Troops, is a big fan of law enforcement, EMTs/EMS, and the military. For his 7th birthday, Tyler had requested cards form his heroes.

However, he received much more than that.

Thursday at Wrights Chicken Farm in Burrillville, Tyler was surprised by hundreds of police officers, firefighters, and first responders who showed up to throw him a birthday party. In addition, he received hundreds of cards, along with dozens of Youtube videos and many special gifts.

To top it off, Tyler was sworn in by the Burrillville Police as chief for the day.
