Providence Plays Host To 2014 North American Bridge Championship

The City of Providence is hosting the 2014 North American Bridge Championships sponsored by Alex and Ani at the Rhode Island Convention Center from November 27 to December 7. 

The tournament begins at 9 a.m. every day from here on out with various games taking place throughout each day.

The final games each day take place starting at 11:30 p.m.

Thursday, November 27, was the first day of the tournament which kicked off at 1 p.m. and consisted of International Fund stratified tournaments with pairs and Swiss teams going up against each other and then later in the evening a bracketed knockout tournament began and resumed on Friday and will go into Saturday. 

Friday, November 28, was the first long day of the tournament, starting at 9 a.m. with the continuation of the bracketed knockout tournament and going into various stratified tournaments including women's tournaments. 

The tournament concludes on Sunday, December 7 with final sessions, the last of which will begin at 5 p.m.
